In 2011, Jonny McAllister and I co-produced and co-directed Watchtower: Politics of Academic Freedom in the U.S. The film is the winner of the Best First Feature Film at the Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival (2011) and features, among others, Judith Butler and Talal Asad. It reflects on the post-911 political environment on American campuses by following the tenure cases of several American faculty members critical of U.S. foreign policy.
